Yesterday Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick announced the departure of four cabinet secretaries and the appointment of four new secretaries. Secretary of Education Paul Reville is among those departing; he will be replaced by Matt Malone, currently superintendent of schools in Brockton. Reville will return to the faculty of the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Asked by State House News Service about what he sees on the education agenda, Reville said:
“I think matters of getting the sufficient amount of money to do the things we want to do within the Board of Education, particularly in early childhood and higher education.”
