		<description><![CDATA[The article is excellent, and it is right to focus on parents of the younger children, but a lot of these children are cared for bo someone other than parents.  In large numbers, there are the grandparents, the infant toddler programs, early intervention, family child care, centers.  Also in Massachusetts we have some unlicensed friends and neighbors.  All these different people, along with parents  need to know that later achievement will come through talking; not so much the adults talking but the children&#039;s talking.  They need to talk to each other as well as converse with the adults who care about them.  When these children hit kindergarten, they need teachers who encourage them to talk, rather than overvaluing teacher-talk.
